Guys canu tell me a site like a dating matching?

Putting online dating matches on hold?
I joined an online dating website and suddenly I got a bunch of responses to my ad. I've been communicating with almost everyone who responded but now I would like to put some of them " on hold" so I can concentrate on the ones I'm more interested in. Is it correct to do that and if so what's the best way to do it and to tell them ? Or if not, should I keep at least a minimal communicating with everyone since I may be interested in them later if things don't go well with my first options?

Wondering why I lost contact with an online dating match...I think I know why, but not sure?
A while ago I was on EHarmony and I had a series of phone conversations with a girl who I had a good rapport with. I asked her out for coffee and she said yes, but I never heard back. I know this could be coincidence, as this happens all the time in online dating. But I have a feeling I made one fatal blunder, and I wanted to ask some young women if they would end a communication over this I am a shy and introverted type of person, and unfortunately in the last couple of years I have made some bad decisions leading to my being socially isolated in the last couple of years. In particular, I stupidly transferred out of a school where I had made friends not the easiest task for me . When she asked me about my social life, I kind of sputtered and gave an answer about how I missed my friends from the old school, and I think I made it sound like I didn't get out much. Be honest if a guy on a dating site gave this type of answer, would you be like, " Yeah, just as I thought, guys on dating sites are losers with no life" or do you think it is more likely that there was no particular reason we lost touch? Like maybe she decided she didn't want a relationship at the moment. I'm trying to get inside the female mind, help would be appreciated What would you think?

All of my online dating matches have had problems. Anyone else have this problem?
I recently started to try online dating services. The guys who pursue me seem ok at first, but as we talk, I find out that they have serious problems. I expected pervs ran into a few , people on the rebound, men on the " down low" , or people who were actually married, but not people who had been to jail. One guy was on probation and was subsequently fired from his job for threatening his co worker with a weapon. Another guy contacted me abducted his kids and took them to Nigeria and ended up going to jail for it. I did a background check, he didn't tell me. Needless to say I've not contact him back. There is nothing in my background or profile that even hints at the possibility that I would entertain someone with these backgrounds. I've been able to find all of these things out with initial conversations and internet checks I generally keep probing until I find out the truth then I end it. Has anyone else had this or similar problems?I am rethinking internet dating actually. I've tried being a lot more selective the child abductor was a college professor he really is I've seen his publications, know where he works etc. seemed to be ok, until I did a background check. I'm beginning to think that perhaps either this type of dating is not for me, or might have to rethink the sites I'm using. I thought that it would be a good supplement for me, but so far, I keep running into a lot of shady characters and criminals. I'm very dissapointed so far.I'm also thinking that maybe the type of person that I'm looking for might not be online ... I'll probably try other routes.

I would like to know why men who are not single, get on these dating match up Internet gimmicks?

Online dating match?
Who out there has had a match that worked from an online dating site, and are still in that relationship?

What do you think of online dating/matching websites?
Alright, so I'm 19. I'm a straight guy, and still no girlfriend. The reasons are I don't ask girls out enough, and when I do rarely it doesn't work. The few girls who were into me were complete turn offs for me for some reason. I also don't have that many friends and do not go to social events very often.I thought about perhaps creating an online profile on a website. Why? You can be a little bit more picky and also have a higher chance of finding someone nice searching based on interests, what they write about themselves, etc... .I think that overall I'm okay, I'm just lacking experience. And I would like to start dating. What's the general opinion about these matching websites? And I think that being a university student with no car and little money is also a problem

Do free dating/match sites exist? Where?
I'm not talking about ones that allow free " memberships" that can not read or respond to msgs from other users useful, eh? Those are the majority . Are there any sites that let you do all the necessary dating stuff without demanding your cash?To Iryn your suggestion is offensive. There are more dating sites out there than you can shake a stick at, and all want money. It adds up for what may not even give you a result. I am struggling to find full time employment and you can not speak to whether or not I would pay for dinner something real, that will count.
